Tips for Cleaning Your Slow Cooker
We all love our slow cookers but sometimes a great meal can make the slow cooker messy. Here are some tips to clean your slow cooker
1. If there are still some spots baked on, scrub it with baking soda.
2. When the slow cooker needs some serious TLC, fill it with water, add vinegar and baking soda (slowly). Then turn it on for an hour and let it do its thing.
3. If you’ve really made a mess of the slow cooker fill it with water and soap and turn it on low for an hour. This will help loosen whatever food has been cooked onto it. for a few more hours, scrubbing every hour or so with a kitchen brush. This will get rid of any and all residue on even the oldest of slow cookers.
4. To keep the slow cooker from this mess you can use liner bags that you can pick up at any local or chain store and cook the food in the liner bag. Once the food is done toss the liner bag out. This will not keep the slow cooker totally clean but it will help make less of a mess for you to clean up.
