Back to School, Back to Chaos: One Less Thing to Worry About

Why Biweekly House Cleaning Makes Sense for Busy Poconos & Lehigh Valley Families

Every August, something happens in our house.

The calendar goes from “Maybe we can actually relax this weekend” to looking like we’re coordinating air traffic at Newark Airport.

My wife Paulina and I know the routine pretty well.

We have a middle school son who plays on three soccer teams.

Yes. Three.

Apparently one wasn’t enough.

Then we have a daughter in cheerleading and another in dance.

Add school, homework, practices, games, work, dinner, pets and everything else that comes with raising a family, and suddenly those wide-open summer evenings disappear.

Running a cleaning company doesn’t magically make our family less busy. If anything, it’s helped me understand exactly why so many of our customers eventually decide they need some help.

Families throughout the Poconos and Lehigh Valley are dealing with the same thing:

There are more things that need to get done than hours available to do them.

And somewhere between soccer practice and figuring out what’s for dinner…

the house still needs to be cleaned.

The Foley family knows a thing or two about busy schedules. Between school, soccer, cheerleading, dance, work and family time, sometimes you just need one less thing to worry about.

Of Course You Can Clean Your Own House

I’m probably breaking some cleaning-industry rule by admitting this, but here goes:

You can clean your own house.

Cleaning isn’t rocket science.

Well…

I guess there’s a little science involved.

Knowing which products to use on different surfaces matters. Certain cleaning chemicals should never be mixed because the results can actually be dangerous.

That’s one reason professional training matters.

But let’s be realistic.

You know how to vacuum. You can clean a bathroom. You can wipe down the kitchen.

You don’t need Maid 2 Clean because you’re incapable of cleaning your own house.

The better question is:

Of everything competing for your time, is cleaning your house where you want to spend it?

Think about Saturday morning.

You could spend a few hours getting the house back under control.

Or you could watch your kid play soccer.

Go out for breakfast.

Spend the day exploring the Poconos.

Or—and parents everywhere will appreciate this one—do absolutely nothing for a couple of hours.

People usually ask:

“What does a cleaning service cost?”

That’s an important question.

But there’s another one:

What is your free time worth?

Why Biweekly Cleaning Works for Busy Families

For many busy households, every-other-week cleaning hits a nice middle ground.

Instead of waiting until the house reaches the point where everyone sacrifices half a weekend getting it under control, professional cleaning becomes part of the home’s routine.

The goal is maintenance.

Every two weeks, someone helps bring the house back to baseline.

For some homes, Maid 2 Clean’s biweekly service can start around $150 per visit, with pricing based on the home and its cleaning needs.

But there’s something about recurring service that I think matters even more than the cleaning itself.

The Familiarity of Your Cleaner. The Reliability of a Company.

Our goal is to schedule recurring customers with the same technician, on the same scheduled day and time.

Over time, your technician gets to know your home.

They get to know your pets.

They become familiar with your family and the things that matter to you.

And that’s important because we’re asking you to trust someone inside one of the most personal places in your life—your home.

Sometimes you may not even be there.

We take that responsibility seriously.

Our employees are thoroughly vetted and background checked. They go through Maid 2 Clean’s professional training process before they’re approved to clean independently.

But cleaning technicians are also human.

People get sick. Kids get sick. Vacations happen. Cars break down.

Fortunately, our technicians rarely call out. But rarely isn’t never.

When your regular technician can’t make it, we’re usually able to send another Maid 2 Clean technician.

Because everyone is professionally trained using the same Maid 2 Clean processes, our system is designed to provide consistency even when your regular technician isn’t available.

You get the familiarity of having your own cleaner with the reliability of having an entire company behind them.

One less thing to worry about.

Our technicians go through Maid 2 Clean’s screening and professional training process before they’re approved to clean independently in our customers’ homes.

Couldn’t I Just Find Someone Cheaper on Facebook?

Absolutely.

You probably can.

And there are some fantastic independent cleaners out there.

If you’ve found someone who’s trustworthy, reliable, properly insured, communicates well and consistently does excellent work, hang onto them.

We’re not trying to convince you an independent cleaner can’t clean your house.

We’re offering something different:

A system.

Our employees are background checked and professionally trained. They’re covered by workers’ compensation and liability insurance.

There’s office support, standardized cleaning processes and backup when life happens.

And if something isn’t right?

Call us.

We actually answer our phones.

If you’re not 100% satisfied, contact us within 24 hours and we’ll be happy to return and touch up areas that need correction.

If finding the lowest possible price is your number-one priority, Maid 2 Clean may not be your best option.

We’re okay with that.

We’re trying to provide something different: an exceptional, reliable experience from a professional company you can trust to handle this part of your life.

Don’t Take My Word for It

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Unbelievably reliable.”

A recent Google reviewer, Vibha Rana, told us our consistency gives her peace of mind. She’s used Maid 2 Clean for regular house cleaning and spring cleaning and specifically recognized her technician, Sinney, for being thorough and doing an amazing job.

That’s exactly what we’re trying to create.

Not another thing you have to manage.

One less thing you have to worry about.

So, Is Biweekly Cleaning Worth It?

I can’t answer that for your family.

Maybe you genuinely enjoy cleaning.

Maybe Saturday morning with a vacuum is your happy place.

If that’s you, I’m probably not going to convince you otherwise.

But if your calendar looks anything like ours—school, work, three soccer teams, cheerleading, dance, appointments, pets, family and about seventeen other things I’m probably forgetting—I’d encourage you to stop asking:

“Can I clean my own house?”

Of course you can.

Ask this instead:

“Is this where I want to spend my time?”

I’ve learned that a clean home feels good.

But having time to actually enjoy the people who live in it feels even better.

Nobody can watch your child’s soccer game for you.

Nobody can have dinner with your family for you.

Nobody can take your kids hiking for you.

But someone else can clean your bathroom.

When Paulina and I look at our family’s calendar, there are plenty of things we can’t remove.

Soccer isn’t going anywhere.

Cheerleading isn’t going anywhere.

Dance certainly isn’t going anywhere.

And work would probably notice if we stopped showing up.

But cleaning?

That’s one thing we can help take off your list.
